I'm not a bike guy...but Sandraiders!!!! Yess!!! High point of the HG year! This goes totally over my head but I just love watching you guys nerd out over these bikes. This is Youtube treasure. Can't wait for the video(s) of the actual event. Thanks for taking the camera along as always Harry.

I had a pretty much identical bike to the Marlboro HPN in the video. Mine was an original R80G/S, uprated chassis by HPN, 1040 twin plug engine, extended carden shaft, same tank as on the Vid, plus an under seat tank, WP suspension with twin shocks at the rear. Took me solo from Cape Town to Zanzibar via a number of countries including Angola. Hell of a trip . . Had two big smashes on the way but survived to tell the tale . . .
