I would go see KANSAS in a heartbeat if John Elefante came back. John sounds as good as ever! I have 5 videos on my Channel of JE, including the full set shot a few months back in your backyard, Dave! Who knows? We'll see what happens.

Wishing Ronnie the best. The one thing with having your thyroid removed is that the larynx and vocal chords can be affected.

I saw Kansas with Ronnie Platt in Forrest City, Arkansas, a couple of years ago. It was a good show. Sure, I would have rather have seen 1978 Steve Walsh or 1983 John Elefante. I was late for that. They did play a little material from Elefante's time. Obviously, the bulk of the set was from Steve Walsh's time. I don't think that anyone would be disappointed going to a current Kansas show. Is it kind of a tribute band now? Yes. Is it "real" Kansas? Largely no. You will be entertained at a current Kansas show.
