We are extremely lucky in this country we have services and support in a natural disaster. Go to third world countries in a disaster where there is no infrastructure or support. I deploy into natural disasters in under privileged countries. So THANKYOU all government workers and all services that are given to the general public. Thankyou for the ongoing communication, advice, support, refuge places. We will get through this.

@SkeletorYeti

Wow we have comments on. This is a first

@maradall

David Crisafulli is providing some quite impressive leadership in this emergency!

@brookcrowley4254

All our prayers go out to you, Queensland and Queenslanders.

@CloudNey

Stay safe out there, people.

@Ch3micalSt0rm

And now let’s go to Mr Alfred *violent blown out microphone noises* “thank you for the comment Mr Alfred”

@Ladysensei

Greetings from Charleston, South Carolina USA
I have been through seven hurricanes in my life, including a category 4 Hurricane Hugo. Including evacuations. If you are hunkering down, make sure you put water into your bathtub. The reason is because if you lose power, and if you lose water, there will be no way for you to flush your toilet. The water in the bathtub can be used for that in the aftermath of this cyclone. Prepare like you’re going on a camping trip outside.
Good luck to everyone in the path of this cyclone 🙏🏻

May Everyone Be Safe And Together With Their Loved Ones🙏🏻

@vickieveitch

Can we all agree that disasters should be off limits to political commenting? Having survived through fire and flood, during these times we’re all Australians looking out for each other - there should be no other Agenda. Anything else is unhelpful at this point. I hope our political parties can agree to do the same. Please and thank you. 🙏

@MichaelHUghes-g8p

Thinking of you all, hope you all stay safe. Fingers crossed for you, from a big mob of us over here in Darwin.

@Zzort

just finishing putting up boards over all of my large glass sliding doors to back patio as it south facing and will get hammered otherwise. managed to drill and bolt it in to the framing, seemed to work well. minor aesthetic loss but massive peace of mind now

@ix-Xafra

Lucky the moon is gonna be first quarter, so smaller tides and tidal variation. Hopefully less flooding...

@rocketman702

FNQ never gets this kind of support!

@catdreaminginthesun6901

SEQ. Takes all our money, and now they take out cyclones. Rude. 😅
