Isn’t the noice saying something about your electronics i the chain before the speaker? The golden ear might be revealing that
Edit: in my comparisons, using the same amp and source the more revealing speaker was noisier from the tweeter. And this more revealing speaker was noice free with “pitch black background” amps and sources.
