@rmod42

Really good of the C&R team to bring lesser known models to light.

@taofledermaus

Great, long-awaited episode but unfortunately it will cause the world to end tomorrow.

@benjidowning2609

Itโ€™s crazy how often they make a video on firearms that I had no idea existed, like this one!

@theoldenfield4106

"After almost 9 years in development, hopefully it will have been worth the wait."

(Sees the 2 hour run time)

This is gonna be a BIG story.

@DuStKalle

I am an old man, and I thought I may never to see that ultimate moment of this channel. I feel like crying.๐Ÿ˜ญ

@berrie-nice-to-meet-you

Huh, what an oddball pistol. Something like this would never catch on

@Mustang6971

Finally the moment all firearm enthusiasts have been waiting for

@ketchman8299

Finally, the full 1911 episode. Only way I will complain is if it is only 17 minutes long.

@rocksandoil2241

Thanks! Hard not to love a 1911... Only the Browning Hi-Power is up there with the 1911.

@oolooo

We have been waiting 8 years for this moment .

@awokado5710

It's crazy how much time, dedication and effort it took for C&R team to create this episode. Huge respect!

@michaelgarcia4035

I was honestly a little disappointed this episode wasn't on the well-known Schmitt Rubin's. But hearing the inspiring story of this humble little firearm and small manufacturer is incredibly heartwarming to see.

1:13:00 - It's me. I'm the debater.

York's division was issued the M1917, and he mentions that fact in his writings, but in a letter written by York to his old comrade James P. Cooper on Sept 20, 1920, York states:
"Say James do you remember that little Springfield rifle that you gave me as we went up to the front line. That is the rifle that I did my shooting with. I used it and my Colts pistol."

From what I'm told, James was transferred into York's regiment from a regular Army unit to help fill it out. The regular units were all issued 1903s.

@Themortician123

Othias you have almost given us the development of the 1911 in real time we've waited so long.
Its not a dig you guys are awesome, that means you too bruno. You da real MVP.

@vitoscaletta7151

This is a certified Colt Classic

@demos113

Our patience rewarded, many thanks C&Rsenal for all of this. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

@RockIslandAuctionCompany

I'm calling in sick the rest of the day to watch this.

@palerider7171

For I moment time stood still and I had to contemplate if this was really the 1911 or another โ€œbefore we get there โ€˜s one more iteration we have to coverโ€ episode. It been a long road, I know you endured a lot comment and complaints but it was worth the wait. Thanks!
