i feel like cursed energy is just psionic energy if it's generated by emotions, controlled by the brain, and gives consciousness to beings dependent from emotions as well. there's also heavy emphasis on the soul, which is just untethered consciousness

Binding Vow has to be the most misunderstood thing in JJK power system. People constantly joke about Sukuna can sacrifice this and that to gain infinite power, but BINDING VOW HAS LIMIT . For example, if you want to improve your skill, you need to spend more time practicing it. Thus, restricting your free time, but your skill won't improve infinitely by spending all the time practicing. There is a limit!!! In fact, it's reminded multiple times in the series just how limited Binding Vow is: 1. In season 1, Yuji couldn't switch with Sukuna whenever he wants -> Sukuna even told Yuji that "If you pursue selfish gain beyond your means you'll earn retribution." 2. In season 2, Nanami can't damage Dagon despite his 2 binding vows (the dull blade+overtime) 3. In season 2, Miwa can't damage Kenjaku with her "never swing blade again" binding vow because the strength difference between her and Kenjaku is too high. Overall, Binding Vow is just a little power boost, NOT PLOT HOLE !!! This isn't HxH, so characters won't become God level by sacrificing their everything. and yes, I know binding vow is inspired by HxH, and I really love HxH as well, but that doesn't change the fact that Binding Vow is a more balanced and realistic power boost. You can love both series and still admit the truth. After all, these 2 series have completely different direction of story. One similar power won't affect both values at all.

The black flash isn’t a multiplier it’s an exponential increase so it’s to the power of 2.5

actually lapse is the overdrive version of a technique, we see this with Gojo. His default use is his infinity that simply divide space into a infinite space between him and would be damage, his lapse is blue where he he divides space so hard that it creates negative space that normal space rushes in to fill.

To me regular cursed energy was like getting electricity from fission. Whereas possitive energy was like getting energy from fusion. One requires 1 particle and 1 atom. One to atack another. Allowing for the "easy" breaking down of already heavy atoms into lighter ones with the remainder of the mass released as energy. Fusion forces at least 3 atoms to collide against each other, two are fused into a hevier element but the other is completely annahilated, releasing a whole lot more energy and leaving behind more stable atoms too. Gege probably never intended it like this but it was my headcannon to justify why it was harder to achieve and understand, and yet had a stronger effect than mere enhancement, going into the realm of regeneration and life extension.
