For anyone watching this review after the fact, the power connector issue was solved. It's not a bend that can cause the connector to fail and potentially catch fire, it's improperly connecting it that's the problem. You must fully seat it--push it in all the way. The problems only occur when it's just partially connected, so don't let that concern deter you. Simply ensure you connect it fully until the latch engages and you'll be good-to-go. 👍

In the price range, the price almost doesn't matter which of the two cards you want. But I chose the 4080 because of the lower power consumption

I've seen my Gigabyte RTX4080 OC 16GB hit 2850Mhz at the most, it's a great card for 4k gaming, very happy with mine. Cheers

You can buy 90 degree alloy adaptors facing either up or down, depending on your setup, the adaptors allow for no bend in the cable at all plugging into the GPU. Cheers

The support bracket is not compatible with all motherboards. Case in point, I own the Asus ROG STRIX X670E-I and the bracket is no compatible due to the unique USB-C I/O adapter on the lower right edge of the motherboard. I ended up having to use a third party support leg :(

I've had a very, very hard time deciding which 4080 I want. I really wanted the Aorus Master or the Asus Rog Strix. but They are significantly more and the extra 1fps isnt worth it to me. Now I'm stuck between this Gigabyte Gaming OC 4080 and the MSI Gaming X trio 4080. the MSI is like $31 more than the Gigabyte. I will be ordering one of them next wednesday. I really like the 4090 but the power consumption is nuts. At least I wont have to worry about it fitting or not. My Fractal is massive.

actually the 4090 has better price to performance than the 4080. It is faster than the 4080 is cheaper
