@imanihekima1659

Completely blown away by his singing and playing. Real deal.

@swavekbu4959

This kind of blues isn't played by choice. It's played by necessity. Blues music originated as a way to cope with suffering and pain, like John Lee Hooker sings, "blues is a healer."

@johnhebert3986

Buddy, at his best here, IMO. That wide ranging voice, and stinging guitar. It has been noted, already in the comments here, but just to reiterate, I think this is the single best live blues performance, ever recorded, or filmed. IMO.

@primothegreat9022

Buddy guy true champ of the blues

@landonricketts4309

hope this stays up love this performance

@CowboyUp1371

Buddy Guy is one of my all time favorite guitarist and heโ€™s so underrated.

@kylewest3325

Been one of my favorite videos for the longest time. Amazing

@Chris-is1rd

This is filthy. In the best possible way.

@ezquad959

That gritty blues sound...the best style...

@BluezzEh

One of the most "truly Buddy guitar" pieces. Awesome.

@russv380

Superb. 4 decades ago this was my introduction to Buddy Guy.

@blckmrk5150

The best live (and studio) electric blues guitar and Chicago blues vocal performance ever filmed/recorded in my opinion bar none. This is THE apogee moment of Chicago blues and no one has ever topped it... Hot Damn. Buddy Guy (and of course a killer band too)...

@brushstroke3733

Amazing, so stoked you posted this! God I wish I had sung this to Buddy when I met him! It would have been hilarious since we were both standing in line at Wendy's! ๐Ÿ‘

@gobuns2

I craved this one performance. Perfect.

@PixelatedSpirit

It doesn't get more raw and dirty than this! Just the way I like it!

@NUMUNU-pv2hj

Most people do not know that buddy inspired Jimmy hendrix, Jimmy mimicked his style with his playing and stage antics

@pinkmoon4211

@gaudrey692

The first time I met the blues
People, you know I was walkin'
I was walkin' down through the woods
Yes, the first time, the first time I met the blues
Blues, you know I was walkin'
I was walkin' down through the woods
Yes, I've watched my house burnin' blues
Blues, you know you done me
You done me all the harm that you could
The blues got after me
People, you know they ran me from tree to tree
Yes, the blues got after me
Blues, you know you ran me, ran me from tree to tree
Yes, you shoulda heard me beg ya, blues
Ah, blues, don't murder me
Yes, good mornin', blues
Blues, I wonder, I wonder what you're doin' here so soon
Yes, good mornin', good mornin'
Good mornin', mister blues
Blues, I wonder, I keep wonderin'
What you're doin' here so soon
Yes, you know you'll be with me every mornin', blues
Every night and every noon
Oh, yeah

@Rahul1803

I believe this is the best version
