नरेन्द्र मोदी के प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद से देश में बड़ा बदलाव आ रहा है। भारत के संविधान में जिस नागरिक समानता की बात कही गई है उसे व्यवहार में लागू किया जा रहा है । एक वर्ग विशेष को उसकी मज़हबी पहचान के कारण जो विशेष दर्जा हासिल था उसे धीरे-धीरे ख़त्म किया जा रहा है । तो उनके वोट के बूते राज करने वाले बेचैन हो रहे हैं। उन्हें समझ में आ रहा है की वर्तमान में ही उनकी सत्ता नहीं गई है । भविष्य में भी उनके सत्ता में लौटने के दरवाज़े बंद किए जा रहे हैं। उन्हें लग रहा है कि वर्तमान ही नहीं भविष्य भी अंधकारमय है। उससे भी बड़ी समस्या यह है कि उनकी चीत्कार का आम जनता पर कोई असर नहीं हो रहा है। मतदाता चुनाव दर चुनाव दूरी बना रहा है। देश और विदेशी मदद के बावजूद मोदी विरोधी प्रधानमंत्री की छवि को बिगाड़ने में लगातार असफल हो रहे हैं। पाँच राज्यों के आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव पक्ष और विपक्ष के बीच के अंतर को और बड़ा करते हुए दिख रहे हैं। एक केरल के अलावा विपक्ष और ख़ासतौर से कांग्रेस के लिए उम्मीद की कोई किरण दिखाई नहीं दे रही है । उसके बाद विपक्षी दलों और उसके नेताओं की हताशा और बढ़ने वाली है।
