A fantastic way for children to connect with nature and explore the textures of natural materials as they craft leaf-print cards.

The fern makes a good Christmas Tree here but you could experiment and try different leaves, talking about shapes and sizes.

Step 1 ***Place a leaf on a wipeable surface or scrap paper, paint one side of the leaf.

Step 2 ***Press the painted side of the leaf onto your card, cover it with a piece of paper, and smooth it out with even pressure.

Step 3 ***Gently peel off the paper to reveal the leaf print.

Step 4 ***Using a range of colorful paints, let little ones add finger-painted baubles.
