With his distinctive voice, charismatic stage presence, and songwriting prowess, Jagger became the face of The Rolling Stones. The band’s early blues-inspired rock sound quickly evolved, producing hits like (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Paint It Black, and Sympathy for the Devil. The Rolling Stones defined the rebellious spirit of rock ‘n’ roll and became known for their electrifying performances and controversies. Over the decades, they continued to reinvent themselves, achieving success with albums like Sticky Fingers (1971), Some Girls (1978), and Tattoo You (1981).
Beyond music, Jagger pursued acting and film production, appearing in movies such as Performance (1970) and Ned Kelly (1970). His influence in pop culture remains unparalleled, and despite being in his eighties, he continues to tour with The Rolling Stones.
In the early 1970s, Jagger had a brief relationship with actress Marsha Hunt, which resulted in the birth of his first child, Karis Jagger, in 1970. Initially, he refused to acknowledge paternity and was largely absent from Karis’ early life. A legal battle ensued, and Jagger was eventually ordered to provide financial support.
Over time, their relationship improved. Karis played a role in his life later on, even supporting him during personal hardships, such as the death of his longtime partner, L’Wren Scott. However, their relationship has been described as complicated, with periods of estrangement and reconciliation. Despite past tensions, Karis has remained connected to her father and his legacy, though she has led a more private life compared to her half-siblings.
