Andrew Hutson on Setting Parenting Aspirations as a New Father

In Chapter 2 of 23 in his 2014 Capture Your Flag interview, environmental advocate Andrew Hutson answers "To What Do You Aspire as a Father?" Hutson shares how his fatherhood aspirations are about providing his child the resources and support to develop into a good person. This means instilling life lessons on kindness and thoughtfulness in his child. It also means creating support and space for confidence and passion to develop. Andrew Hutson is an environmental advocate at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where he is currently Director, Value Chain Initiatives. Hutson earned a PhD in Public Policy from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Masters in Environment Management (MEM) from Duke University and a BA in International Relations from Michigan State University.
