Two of the most interesting things to do in New Orleans are streetcar rides and cemetery visits. And you can do both at the same time.
Look close at those bright, festive streetcars at the edge of the French Quarter and you might spot the word Cemeteries. Step onboard, and at the end of the line, you'll find almost 20 cemeteries clustered together. These aren't the most often visited cemeteries in town but they are easy to get to and they run the spectrum from the grandest to the humblest.
Plus, there's a handy place for coffee and beignets right in the middle of all of them.
